11 Cup Project

11 Cup Project

Updated: May 18, 2019

Today was a crazy day. Willow got strep throat a week ago and yesterday she got hives all over her body due to the antibiotics she was taking. We had to stop the antibiotics and make sure she didn't still have strep, so off to the doctor again. Redd had preschool today and then we had to race him to his kindergarten testing. Do you think that is all? NOPE!

Then I had someone come over to paint the biggest projects I have painted so far. We painted 3 panels and these things are HUGE. They are 3 ft x 6 ft. It took 11 cups of paint for each panel! We used every drop of mixed white paint and used a total of 9 large bottles of paint. It was so much fun and they look awesome.

HUGE Painting Project

The panels were so big that you had to have 2 people to tilt it. We each got on one end of the panel and tilted. The first panel was the hardest. We didn't use as many cups as we should have so it was hard to tilt without loosing the paint that we did have. We sure learned quick though. The last 2 panels were a breeze to do and I am pretty sure we could have kept painting all night if we had more panels and more paint.

I couldn't have loved tonight more. It was so much fun and my client kept saying, "I haven't had this much fun in a LONG time!" We had paint everywhere. We had to paint barefooted just in case we stepped in it, making it easier to clean. I am still dying at how much paint we used, but it was totally worth it.

We painted for about 2 hours and then we were done! 3 large panels in 2 hours- that is nuts! You would think that it would take days to complete. I love that this paint allows you to complete a project fast and easy and that anyone can do it. My client is not an artist, but she did make a masterpiece!
