Painting Blind

Updated: May 18, 2019

Today was such a good day at The Simple Treasures Boutique! I had so much fun painting with people and talking to my fun vendor neighbors from Navuoo Remembered, which if you haven't heard of them you need to check them out. They have amazing jewelry made out of actual temple stones. So cool. Anyways, back to painting.........

Today I got to paint with some very cool people. I have painted with this lady before and was very impressed with her than and am still very impressed with her now. She is blind. She can't see, but she wants to paint. That is where I come it! I can give her that through acrylic pouring. She told her daughter and I what colors she wanted, then she filled up her own cups. We helped her flip the cups on top of the canvas and she lifted the cups. She then went a head and tilted her canvas. It turned out beautiful. She wanted a blue sky with mesa rocks- I think it turned out pretty well. What do you think?

Even people that can't see can paint! Acrylic pouring makes it easy and amazing. What a fun and cool painting.
Sky with Mesa Rock

It makes me so happy that I have the opportunity to bring these experiences to EVERYONE. I love working with kids and seeing their eyes light up at such and awesome painting that they made. I love seeing the smile on the woman's face that was able to paint even though she couldn't see. Who knew that a simple art form could bring so much happiness. I am very grateful to these experiences!

I was also able to paint with some amazing kids. All of the paintings were so cool and the kids had so much fun creating something that turned out amazing. I love that everyone one no matter the age can paint. Check out some of my favorites:

OH! This painting is amazing. It was done by a 4 year old girl. She was so cute and seriously made an amazing piece of art. Anyone can paint!

It is so fun to see all the colors that people put in their cups to make their painting. This little boy put in over 15 colors! Did you know that Redd Willow has over 30 colors to choose from? Paint with us today!
Check out these colors!

There is nothing like a family painting together on one canvas. It turns out awesome and it is very symbolic of how a family really is. Instant heirloom.
