Squeaky Clean

This Will Not Happen!!

"I do not want the paint at my house, way too messy!" I hear this all the time when I am talking with people who want to book a party. I have to assure you that I have this painting technique and its mess down to a science.

When I arrive at the party, the first thing I do is put down a tarp under each table. I then line each table with a plastic table cloth. I place parchment paper under each canvas for quick clean up. The only problem I have ever ran into when I came to mess is if someone drips a little on the tarp and steps in it. This is not a big deal either, if the paint is still wet it will clean of hard surfaces easily.

This is what it looked like after I painted with 8 nine year old girls:

Like Magic the Mess is Gone!

As you can see, there still is paint on the table, but you would never know that there were 8 people painting there just 10 minutes ago.

Lets forget about the mess and focus on some of the creation at this party. The girls were so creative and eager to paint.

This was the birthday girl's painting. She wanted to try the tree ring technique and she did an amazing job. The gold is so sparkly!!

Check out this wave:

The Wave

So cool. The kids had to much fun mixing the paint up by blowing through a straw. I am pretty sure they thought I was off my rocker when I told them to use the straw though. i think they were expecting a paint brush instead of a straw.

I love this one. It is very simple to do, but they always turn out really cool.

Flower Made with a Straw

I wish I had a flower like that in my garden. To make the petals like that we used a straw once again! What is with the straw? I love the straw it is just fun to play with.

Such a fun paint party with some awesome young ladies. The paintings turned out awesome and the mess was not there after 5 minutes.
